A step-by-step guide to Apply for NDIS Funding

Applying for the NDIS involves several key steps to ensure you receive the support you need. This process can seem daunting, but we’ve created a step-by-step guide to help make it a little easier for you.

How NDIS Participants can access supports through their funding

NDIS participants can access a range of support services through their funding to help them achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. The NDIS funding is divided into three categories: Core, Capital, and Capacity Building. Core supports cover assistance with daily living activities, which includes services like domestic cleaning and gardening. Participants with funding under "Assistance with Daily Living" can utilise their plan to hire registered providers for these essential services, ensuring they maintain a clean and safe living environment, which is crucial for their wellbeing and independence.

Capital supports provide funding for higher-cost assistive technologies, home modifications, and equipment that help participants improve their living conditions and accessibility. This can include items like wheelchairs, vehicle modifications, and communication devices. Capacity Building supports aim to enhance participants' skills and independence through various programs and therapies. This category includes funding for education, employment support, social participation, and health and well-being activities, all designed to help participants build their capabilities and reach their long-term goals
